In a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing educational outcomes across Paraguay, the Feuerstein Institute recently played a pivotal role in a delegation accompanying Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar during his official visit to the country. The Institute’s President, Rabbi Dr. Rafi Feuerstein, and Shayke Pri-Chen, Director of the International Department, were honored to be part of this delegation, reflecting the growing international recognition of the Feuerstein Method.
Following the delegation’s meetings, the Paraguayan Ministry of Education, led by Deputy Minister David Velazquez Seiferheld, hosted over 150 educators, including teachers, principals, and senior officials. Rabbi Dr. Rafi Feuerstein presented the principles of the Instrumental Enrichment (IE) program, an evidence-based cognitive intervention designed to enhance thinking skills, problem-solving, and learning potential in students of all ages.
After the delegation continued to Argentina, the Paraguayan Ministry of Education, led by Deputy Minister David Velazquez Seiferheld, organized an exclusive gathering of over 150 teachers, principals, and senior officials. The event aimed to introduce Paraguay’s education leaders to the principles of the Instrumental Enrichment (IE) program.
During the meeting, Rabbi Dr. Rafi Feuerstein presented how Instrumental Enrichment can enhance cognitive skills, learning efficiency, and overall student performance. The approach equips educators with practical tools to improve thinking, problem-solving, and learning potential across all age groups.
The event’s significance was further underscored when Minister of Education Luis Fernando Ramírez joined, sharing his personal experience using the Feuerstein methodology in classrooms. His testimony highlighted the real-world impact of the program and inspired educators to adopt these innovative teaching strategies.
This initiative is part of a collaboration between the Governments of Israel and Paraguay, aiming to train 300 teachers in the Instrumental Enrichment methodology. Feuerstein Institute trainers, Karena Ishay and Eva, have already been conducting hands-on teacher training over the past two weeks, with sessions set to continue in February.
The program provides teachers with practical strategies to implement Instrumental Enrichment in classrooms, creating measurable improvements in students’ learning skills, efficiency, and academic performance.
The Paraguayan Ministry of Education highlighted the initiative on social media:
“En pos del fortalecimiento de las competencias profesionales de los educadores del sector oficial, implementamos una iniciativa que busca capacitar a formadores de formadores en el método Feuerstein.”
Minister Luis Fernando Ramírez also participated in the meeting, sharing his personal experience with the Feuerstein Method and its positive impact on learning and teaching practices.
The Feuerstein Institute is internationally recognized for its innovative programs that enhance cognitive development and learning potential. The Instrumental Enrichment program focuses on improving thinking skills, problem-solving, and cognitive efficiency, providing educators with structured tools to help every student reach their full potential.
Through international collaborations like this project in Paraguay, the Institute continues to expand access to evidence-based educational methods worldwide.
