FIE Basic 2 of 2 – Shoresh

Prerequisites:

The course is open to graduates of FIE Basic-1 courses who have already studied the first five instruments of the FIE Basic program. Applicants are encouraged to read in advance the theoretical material available here.

Course Syllabus:

  • Mediated learning in young children;
  • Emergent and deficient cognitive functions in regular and special needs populations;
  • Emotional development of young children;
  • FIE Basic program and kindergarten curriculum;
  • Goal and sub-goals of the clinical and educational application of the Level 2 FIE Basic program;
  • FIE Basic Lesson planning and preparation of “bridging” exercises;
  • Comprehensive instruction in the use of the following FIE Basic instruments: Tri-channel Attentional Learning, From Empathy to Action, Detecting the Absurd-2; Preventing Violence; Reading Comprehension; Know and Identify.

Mastery of FIE Basic theory and instruments is evaluated by means of a questionnaire presented to the course participants on the last day of the course.

Course Fee: $995

The fee includes a set of FIE Basic-2 instruments Teaching Diagrams booklet.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own copies of FIE Basic User’s Guide received during the FIE Basic-1 course.

Full attendance of training activities is required.

Certification:

Course participants will be awarded a Certificate of Instrumental Enrichment Basic Mediator Level 2 (of 2) upon successful completion of the entire course requirements.

The certificate is valid for four years from its issue date and is renewed subject to the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) conditions:

  • Submittal of a verification form of FIE implementation to Feuerstein Institute reflecting at least 30 hours of work with FIE Basic-2 (of 2) instruments. Forms in different languages are available here.
  • Participation in annual online or “live” CPD seminars organized by the Feuerstein Institute or/and local Authorized Training Centers, or attendance of three additional FIE or FIE Basic courses.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to cancel any course that has less than 10 participants registered. Fees for courses canceled by the Institute will be refunded in full. In cases where the participants cancel, there is a $100 processing charge for reimbursement of workshop fees for cancellations made before the registration deadline of June 20, 2025. There are no refunds for cancellations after the registration deadline.
