Learn to Ask Questions for Reading Comprehension

A one day course to learn how to use the Learn to Ask Questions approach to develop students’ ability to think critically, compare, analyze, and become more active and independent learners. Participants will gain practical strategies they can apply immediately in their classrooms and/or clinics.

About the Course

What questions can a child ask to improve comprehension? Feuerstein’s Learn to Ask Questions course develops the child’s understanding of reading material (fiction and non-fiction) by mediating the development of question asking skills. It builds the cognitive functions of comparing, analyzing, summarizing and hypothesis making. Mediation is the method of instruction that allows students to build critical thinking skills, 28 to be exact, as identified by the research of Prof. Reuven Feuerstein.
