Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Trainers-1 (FIE Trainers-1)
Prerequisites:
Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Trainers 1 (FIE Trainers-1) is the first of two required courses for those seeking to become an Instrumental Enrichment Training Professional. This course is open to graduates of the FIE-3 (of 3) who can submit evidence of at least 100 hours of FIE work for at least one academic year after completion of their FIE study, using at least 10 of the IE instruments. Additionally, potential participants must submit a standard report of FIE program implementation, two lesson plans, and any articles or media materials if applicable. The Evidence of Practice will be professionally assessed at the Feuerstein Institute. In addition, the candidates for the FIE Trainers 1 course are expected to meet all CPD requirements up until acceptance to the Trainers Level 1 and provide two letters of recommendation from a trainer they trained under in the past, or from their FIE supervisor. All the above materials should be submitted to Feuerstein Institute before May 1, 2025. Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to reject candidature based on committee members’ opinions that the candidate has not met the established requirements for acceptance.

- Analysis of FIE tasks and the didactics of teacher training
- Detection of students’ cognitive functions during FIE lessons
- Techniques of observation and evaluation of FIE interactions based on MLE criteria
- Cognitive analysis of FIE training sessions
- Didactics of teaching theoretical aspects of MLE and IE
- Simulation of training sessions and analysis
- Didactics of training for “bridging”
- Documentation and quality assurance requirements associated with FIE training
Mastery of FIE theory and instruments is evaluated by means of a questionnaire presented to the course participants on the last day of the course.
Course Fee: $1,500
The fee includes a set of all 14 IE instruments and a digital version of the Teaching Diagrams booklet.

Certification:
Course participants will be awarded a Certificate of Instrumental Enrichment Trainer Level 1 upon successful completion of the entire course requirements. The certificate is valid for four years from its issue date and is renewed subject to the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) conditions:
- Submission of a verification form of FIE co-training experience (to be obtained from Feuerstein Institute) reflecting at least 45 hours of FIE co-training under supervision of a senior FIE trainer;
- Participation in annual lectures using e-learning, including successful completion of a questionnaire about the material presented in the lectures, or participation in annual “live” CPD seminars organized by local Authorized Training Centers, or attendance of additional FIE or LPAD courses.
Please note: Teaching teachers and professionals is only allowed after completing the FIE Trainers Level 2 course, and requires the signing of an alliance agreement with Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized Training Center), or working as a staff member of an existent ATC.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to cancel any course that has less than 10 participants registered. Fees for courses canceled by the Institute will be refunded in full. In cases where the participants cancel, there is a $100 processing charge for reimbursement of workshop fees for cancellations made before the registration deadline of June 20, 2025. There are no refunds for cancellations after the registration deadline.
